Host a Disaster Ready Block Party

The Poway Neighborhood Emergency Corps and Fire Safe Council has partnered with the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) to host Disaster Ready Neighborhood Block Parties throughout the City of Poway. We have 60 Block Party kits to bring preparedness, resilience, and a little fun into your neighborhood. 

What’s in a Block Party Kit?

First, we have everything you need to reach out to your neighborhood and host a great party. Each kit includes a yard sign, two tablecloths, and 20 invitations. To get the party started, there are three interactive games related to emergency preparedness. A game wouldn’t be complete without a prize, each kit also includes two giveaways that fit perfect into any emergency go bag including solar/crank powered radios, USB power banks, and first aid kits. Kits also include emergency planning guides and other supporting documents.
