National Night Out

August 2, 2022 Poway Sheriff's Substation

National Night Out is an annual event that occurs on the 2nd Tuesday each August. This is a nationwide event where local Law Enforcement hosts emergency responders and community groups to come together to get to know each other. This year, PNEC with Poway’s Fire Department and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) talked to residents about personal preparedness, taught Hands-Only-CPR, and handed out Water Watcher Badges to those that own swimming pools.

1st Responders Day

July 23, 2022 Old Poway Park

Today was a day for community members to meet the new Fire Chief, Jeff Chumbley, and Sheriff’s Captain, Karla Menzies. PNEC was invited to talk with community members about preparedness and to educate them about PNEC and find out which neighborhood they lived in. Numberous connections were made and we all had a great day.
