RADIO SCIENCE LEARNING OPPORTUNITY FOR FAMILIES

San Diego, CA, 12/29/17 –  The public is invited to observe and participate in a free radio science demonstration named “Kids Day” at Old Poway Park (14134 Midland Rd, Poway, CA 92064) on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event runs for four continuous hours, and the public may arrive and depart at any time during those four hours.

During the event, senior ham radio operators will help children use “short wave” radios to talk to other children hundreds of miles away.

This positive radio experience might spur an interest in science that could lead to a career in technology.

The “Kids Day” demonstration at Old Poway Park is organized by local Ham Radio enthusiasts as part of a nationwide event that helps children begin to understand the science inside cell phones, televisions, and radios.
